Plover police seek information on suspected truck thief

Metro Wire Staff

Plover police need help from the public to identify a suspect in an early morning vehicle theft that occurred on Wednesday.

Police Chief Dan Ault said a white man entered the garage at Stone Innovations, 3611 Post Rd., at about 3:40 a.m. on Sept. 2 and stole a white pickup truck owned by the company.

The truck was later recovered by the Wausau Police Department but sustained new damage to the exterior of the vehicle, Ault said.

Ault described the suspect as “a young male, thin-to-average build,” who was wearing a black t-shirt and bleached jeans with blue and white patches at the time of the theft.

The man is also a suspect in a gas drive-off involving the same vehicle.

Anyone with information about the incident, or the suspect, should contact Plover Police Capt. Ryan Fox Fox at 715-345-5255 ext 157.
