Plover police say they’ve had no luck locating two suspected tool thieves who struck at Menards on Jan. 28.

The suspects, both white men, were caught on surveillance video at the south Plover store at about 3:21 PM.

According to Plover police, one suspect is a heavy set man with a full beard and possible tattoos on his left arm. At the time of the theft, he wore a black baseball hat, black and grey jacket, red tennis shoes and wore a cross around his neck.

The second man was thin and wore a light-colored baseball hat, black and grey hooded jacket, with camouflage pants and dark shoes or work boots.

The men were seen leaving the parking lot in a purple or maroon colored SUV, which appeared to be a Pontiac Aztec or similar model.

Sgt. Brent Thauer said the store’s proximity to the interstate could mean the suspects aren’t from the area.

“But if someone knows something, we hope they call,” Thauer said.

The Plover Police Dept. is located at 242 Post Rd. and can be reached at (715) 345-5255.
