Plover launches Adopt-A-Park program

Metro Wire Staff

Plover — The village of Plover is inviting residents to take an active role in maintaining the beauty of their community parks through the Adopt-A-Park program.

The volunteer initiative allows organizations, businesses, families, or groups of neighbors to “adopt” a village park and commit to cleaning it three times a year.

The program runs from April to November, and each participating group is responsible for general park maintenance tasks such as picking up litter, raking leaves, weeding, and reporting any necessary repairs to the village’s public works department. The collaborative effort keeps Plover’s parks clean and enjoyable and fosters community pride and a sense of ownership.

Interested groups can find applications on the village website or pick one up at the Plover Municipal Center. All necessary supplies, such as trash bags and gloves, will be provided by the public works department. Adopt-A-Park participants are recognized for their contribution with a sign displayed in their adopted park.

For more information about the program or to apply, contact the Plover Public Works Department at 715-345-5257, or fill out the form here and submit it to the village clerk.
