Playground reopens at Easlan-Weslan Park

PLOVER — Visitors to Easlan-Weslan Park are in for a pleasant surprise.
The playground reopened for public use on Oct. 10 after closing for about two weeks to allow for the installation of new playground equipment, according to village officials.
The new equipment is more modern and safer, village leaders say.
Village Administrator Steve Kunst said the $66,107 cost of the new playground equipment was funded through ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) dollars.
“This is part of our ongoing effort to improve public spaces throughout the village,” Kunst said. “We want to provide a safe and fun environment for families, and this new equipment will be a great addition to the park.”
Kunst said the equipment arrived in late September.
“We’re excited to see this project move forward and can’t wait for families to enjoy the new playground once it’s finished,” he said.
