Lt. Dana Williams from the Stevens Point Police Department sticks a donation into a collection jar on Wednesday at Culver’s on Hwy. 10 East.

Williams, along with other police officers from Stevens Point, Plover, and deputies from the Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office, was at the fast-food restaurant on Oct. 20 during lunch and will be there again 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday night, for the “Cops at Culver’s Day” for the Lights of Christmas fundraiser.

Officers were greeting customers and running food to tables and vehicles waiting outside.

A percentage of sales and all donations made while officers are at the restaurant on Wednesday will go towards purchasing gift cards, which officers hand out to those less fortunate during the Christmas season.

The only Stevens Point area Culver’s restaurant participating in the promotion is located at 5346 Hwy. 10 East.
