PCBC to host legislative forum at Sentry

The Portage County Business Council’s Government Relations Committee is holding a legislative forum on Friday, Oct. 19 at the SentryWorld Atrium, 601 Michigan Ave N.

Topics include the state budget, talent attraction, Foxconn, supply chain marketplace and many other business-related topics.

Local Elected Officials
Meg Erler, Stevens Point Area Public School District Board President
Dan Mahoney, Village of Plover Administrator
Mike Wiza, City of Stevens Point Mayor
Chris Holman, Portage County Executive

State Elected Officials
Katrina Shankland, Wisconsin Assembly District 71
Scott Krug and opponent David Gorski, Wisconsin Assembly District 72
Nancy VanderMeer and opponent Cari Fay, Assembly District 70
Ron Kind and opponent Steve Toft, U.S. House District 3

Legislators will answer prepared questions. The order for speaking will be randomly selected at the event.

Registration opens at 7:15 a.m., with breakfast to follow at 7:30. The forum concludes at 9:30 a.m.

Reservations are required by Oct. 16. Cost is $27 per person for PCBC members and $32 for non-members. Students from Mid-State and UWSP and members of Ignite will pay $22.
