Pavelski returns to work following extended medical leave
By Brandi Makuski
County Executive John Pavelski has returned to work.
Pavelski returned to his role in a part-time capacity for the next couple of weeks, according to a news release from his administrative assistant, Jane Iwanski.
“I’m glad to be back. I would sincerely like to thank all the people who contacted us and reached out in compassion and concern for my recent medical leave. I would also send my thanks to the department heads and county staff who did exceptional work and decision-making in my absence, especially Board Chair Reser for all the added responsibility. To know that we have this kind of a community is humbling and exceptionally gratifying to be a part of,” Pavelski said in the email.
Iwanksi first notified the press on May 21 that Pavelski would be out on a temporary leave effective immediately, but offered no further information on Pavelski’s condition. Another announcement came on June 27 that Pavelski was still not ready to return to work.
The news release said Pavelski was recovering from an undisclosed health issue. The nature of the health issue has not been disclosed.
Pavelski’s office can be reached at 715-346-1997.
