Pamela “Pam” J. Fait, 58

Pamela “Pam” J. Fait, age 58, of Plover, died January 5, 2019, at Aspirus in Stevens Point.

Pam was born May 9, 1960, to Charles & Esther (Schmidt) Shutter in Nekoosa. She grew up there, attended the local schools and graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1978. She graduated UWSP in 1982 with a bachelors degree in business education.

Pam married Ronald Fait on June 4, 1983, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa.

She started working for the Stevens Point School District in 1994 beginning at Washington Elementary and eventually transferring over to Ben Franklin Junior High School. She was working as a special education assistant.

Pam was a loving, giving person who was full of ‘sunshine and sparkles’ to everyone who knew her. Family and friends were extremely important to her. She was always a welcoming hostess, especially enjoying everyone’s company out on the Party Porch. Pam was almost always seen with her furry friend, Gilbert the cat. She held a special place in her heart for her special needs students. She enjoyed coaching special sports including bowling, bocce, and track. She also relished attending concerts and her annual vacation trips. She was an avid fan of Brett Favre and Tim Tebow and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. She was a member of Woodlands Church for many years and a member of the Plover VFW Post 10262 Auxilliary.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ron Fait of Plover; sons, Benjamin (Katie) of Plover and Eric of West Bend, Wis.; mother, Esther Shutter (friend, Ron Salter) of Nekoosa; siblings, Charlene (Gary) Jones of FL and Opie (Julie) Shutter of Nekoosa. She is further survived by grandchildren, Kierce, Eli, Gavin, and Miles; numerous nieces and nephews and countless precious friends that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and sister, Roberta Erickson.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 12, at Woodlands Church in Plover. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date.
