Pacelli girls continue to dominate road play

By Craig Marx

Pacelli girls hoops improved to 4-0 this past week on the eve of the winter storm that shut down most of Central Wisconsin, defeating Rosholt 44-35 on the road.

The Cardinals have made good work of opponents in away play this season, going 3-0 on road trips. The win over Rosholt also pushed Pacelli to 2-0 in Central Wisconsin South conference play.

Sophomore Casey Vaughn led the Cardinals with 10 points, with Amelia Jacoby and Ashley Strizel both adding eight.

Pacelli was down 21-16 at the half, but a 28-point second-half capped by six points from Strizel and a three-pointer each from Hannah Trzinski and Novalee Schober.

The Cardinals host Tri-County on Tuesday beginning at 6:15 p.m. This game will be one of our features of the week with live score updates and post-game interviews and photos.
