Pacelli boys take first in Cross Country championship

For the first time in the school’s history, the Pacelli boys’ cross country team has won the Central Wisconsin Conference title.
The boys finished the Marion competition with a score of 52.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood finished second with 61 points, followed by Bonduel (82), and Rosholt (91).
Finishing in 2nd place and earning first-team all-conference was Gabe Hoerter, and Jay Engebretson who finished 5th. Adam Eiden finished in 10th place and Sam Grywcaz 12th place both earning second-team all-conference.
Ben Haemmerle crossed the finish line in 24th place with Jacob Zimmermann in 59th place and Mitchell Jensen 74th place.
Running for the Pacelli girls were Katy Czerwinski, who finished in 33rd place, and Anika Brandl, in 53rd place.
Both teams will head to Athens on Friday, October 25th to compete in the WIAA Sectional meet.
