Orchestra to hold string auditions

Auditions for the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra will be held on May 8.

The 80-member orchestra has openings for violin and viola, as well as the 2018-19 CWSO/UWSP Scholarship String Quartet. Orchestral auditions begin at 4 p.m. in Room 240 of the Noel Fine Arts Center, 1900 Portage St.

Musicians will perform a short solo of their choice, required excerpts listed in the “Events” section at cwso.org, and perform a sight-reading excerpt. A full range of rehearsal and performance dates can be found at cwso.org.

Practice rooms available on site.
