One woman life-flighted following Eau Pleine crash

Two people have been injured in a single-vehicle collision near Junction City.

Emergency crews from the Rudolph Volunteer Fire Department and the Portage Co. Ambulance Service were called to the 2700 block of County Hwy. G near Pacyna Rd. at 11:59 a.m. on Monday.

Portage Co. Sheriff Mike Lukas said two elderly women were traveling in the vehicle when the motorist experienced a medical emergency and passed out. The passenger attempted to regain control of the car, but it left the road and crashed into a tree line.

One woman was transferred for medical attention by ambulance and the other was flown to an area trauma center, Lukas said.
