The Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office is reporting that one person has been injured in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday in Stockton.
Capt. Josh Ostrowski said deputies were called to County Hwy. J near Oak Tree Rd. at 6:24 p.m. on June 16.
Upon arrival, deputies found that a passenger vehicle struck a motorcycle from behind. The motorcycle operator was transported to a local hospital by Aspirus MedEvac with unknown injuries. No one else was injured in the collision, Ostrowski said.
After an initial investigation, deputies believe both vehicles were traveling north on County Hwy. J when the passenger vehicle “crashed into the backside of the motorcycle which was slowing or stopped in traffic,” Ostrowski said in a news release.
Portage County Rescue and EMS, Stevens Point Fire Department, and Stockton Fire and EMS all responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
