One dead following Hwy. 10 crash with construction truck

One person is dead after crashing into the back of a construction work truck in Amherst on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to Hwy. 10 near County Hwy. Q at 1:19 p.m. on Dec. 2 after an eastbound motorist in a 2010 Chevy Traverse entered a construction zone and struck the back of a road construction truck.

The identity of the motorist, who was 30 years old, has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the road truck was not injured.
