North Central Conservancy Trust to hold annual Harvest Dinner Sept. 24

STEVENS POINT — The North Central Conservancy Trust will hold its 32nd annual Harvest Dinner on Sept. 24 at the Pfiffner Building in Pfiffner Pioneer Park.

The annual fundraiser will run from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and include a barbecue picnic dinner, live music, a silent auction, raffles, a cash bar and presentations highlighting the land trust’s conservation work in central Wisconsin. Vegetarian and vegan dinner options will be available.

The event is open to the public, but advance registration is required for dinner and attendance.

Winners of the organization’s major raffle will also be drawn during the event. The top prize includes a three-night cabin stay in Egg Harbor, meal vouchers for the White Gull Inn, a $300 Destination Door County gift card and a Wisconsin state park vehicle admission pass.

Second prize includes two tickets to Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, $200, and a state park pass. Third prize is $100 and a state park pass.

The conservancy is also seeking donations for raffle baskets and its silent auction, along with businesses interested in sponsoring the event. Great Northern Distilling is serving as the major Harvest Dinner sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.

Founded in 1994, the North Central Conservancy Trust works in Lincoln, Taylor, Clark, Marathon, Wood, Portage, Adams and Waushara counties. The nonprofit has established more than 60 permanent conservation easements protecting more than 5,600 acres, including more than 12 miles of shoreline. It also owns five properties totaling about 205 acres.

The Harvest Dinner is being held in conjunction with Wisconsin Land Trust Days, a statewide effort organized by Gathering Waters to highlight the work of Wisconsin land trusts.
