Noon Optimists scholarships now available

The Stevens Point Noon Optimist Club is now accepting applications for 2020 Optimist Scholarships.

Up to $3,000 in scholarship money will be awarded in April.

Students must be a graduating high school senior who currently lives in Portage Co. and be accepted to an accredited higher education institution as a full-time student, to have their application considered.

The Stevens Point Noon Optimist Club was chartered in 1961 as a community service organization. The group has been awarding scholarships since 2000.

Scholarship applications are available from any high school guidance counselor at Portage Co. schools, or by contacting Optimist Club Member Karen Myers at 715-344-1940 or kmyers@portagecountybiz.

Applications are due by March 20, 2020.
