Noon Optimists offer 2019 scholarships

The Stevens Point Noon Optimist Club is now accepting applications for 2019 scholarships.

The Noon Optimist Club has awarded scholarships to worthy graduating high school seniors in Portage Co. since 2000. For 2019, up to $3,000 in scholarship money will be awarded in April.

Applicants must be a graduating senior accepted as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary school and a resident of Portage Co.

More information and scholarship applications are available through all area high school guidance counselors, or by contacting Karen Myers at (715) 344-1940 or kmyers@portagecountybiz.

Applications must be completed and mailed to Pete Theisen at 5393 Clarice’s Circle, Stevens Point, Wis., 54482 no later than Friday, April 5, 2019.

The Stevens Point Noon Optimist Club was chartered in 1961, has been in continuous service to the local community and youth.
