Firefighters say no one was injured in a Saturday afternoon fire on McCullough St.
Metro Fire crews were called to the 1900 block at 2:15 p.m. on Feb. 6 after a caller reported a detached garage was on fire.
Capt. Ron Heibler from SPFD said initial reports said the garage was fully engulfed, but when he arrived he saw thick smoke in the neighborhood.
“They laid out a line and found that the fire was on the B (right) side of the garage, it was an outdoor lean-to area,” Heibler said.
The fire was “knocked down quickly,” Heibler said, adding the cause is still under investigation.
All human occupants, and five hens, were evacuated without injury.
