No injuries in Friday night car fire

No injuries were reported in a Friday night car fire on the city’s north side.

Stevens Point firefighters were called to a car fire on the 1200 block of North Point Dr. near the Division St. North intersection at 6:25 p.m. on Aug. 7.

The vehicle was reportedly leaking fuel and the fire began underneath the car. 

Lt. Greg Bean of the Stevens Point Police Dept. said there were no injuries. Crews were on scene for about an hour.
