Metro Wire Staff

No one was injured in a Saturday morning fire at Crossroads Commons.

Firefighters in Plover responded to the parking lot of T.J. Maxx, 1260 Commons Cir., at about 10:30 on Feb. 17 when someone called 911 to report a car fire.

When crews arrived, the vehicle was almost fully engulfed in flames emanating from under the hood. Crews knocked the fire down within about a minute, but continued to spray the car down for several more minutes until it stopped smoking.

The female motorist was waiting inside a nearby department store until the car was deemed safe by firefighters, when she retrieved her personal belongings. The car was towed by Adams Towing of Plover.
