Nancy J. Sexton (née Glennon), 70

Nancy J. Sexton (née Glennon), 70, of Plover, passed away peacefully on Sept. 12, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born March 24, 1954, in Stevens Point to Benjamin and Dorothy (Larson) Glennon. She attended St. Stephen Catholic School and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High in 1972.

Nancy worked as an administrative assistant in the medical field. She married Walter “Walt” Sexton on Nov. 6, 1994, during halftime of a Green Bay Packers game. Together, they blended their families, raising five children.

A lifelong sports fan, Nancy was devoted to the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and planning family gatherings, especially during the holidays.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Walt; her children, Andrew (Kristin) Alexander, Paul (Kellie) Alexander, and KC (Daniel Ayele) Alexander; her stepchildren, Kirsten Sunderland and Brett (Jen) Sexton; nine grandchildren; and her siblings, Gary (Sandy), John (June), Cathy (Lee Gostomski), and Thomas (Sally) Glennon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at Shuda Funeral Chapel, Stevens Point. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Stephen Parish Cemetery.
