Monteverdi presents holiday concert, donation drive

The Monteverdi Chorale has announced its 2023 holiday concert and donation drive.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1410 Rogers St. in Stevens Point, with festive songs and carols, and the audience is welcome to sing along. Doors open at 6:30, and a reception with refreshments will follow the concert.

Monteverdi will also host a donation drive at the door for the Hunger & Poverty Prevention Partnership of Portage County’s Mobile Pantry program.

The Mobile Pantry is a nonprofit community outreach program that provides rural residents of Portage County with access to food assistance. The Mobile Pantry also provides a delivery service.

Suggested donation items include complete canned meals (Campbell’s chunky soups, chili, etc.) personal hygiene products (soaps, toothbrushes/toothpaste, hair care, toilet paper), and essential household items (cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, paper towels).

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for seniors. Students and kids are free.
