Monteverdi Chorale to perform Handel’s ‘Messiah’ for the holidays

Stevens Point — The Monteverdi Chorale is set to bring the timeless holiday classic, Handel’s Messiah, to life in a performance on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Saint Stephen Catholic Church, 1401 Clark St., Stevens Point.

Tickets are now on sale for the highly anticipated event, which will feature an orchestra of local musicians and soloists Natalie Cummings, Chelsea Betz, Elijah Schuh, and Austin Bradley.

Under the direction of Dr. Matheus Cruz, the chorale aims to deliver a memorable evening of music. Ticket prices are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors 65 and older, $10 for youth and students with ID, and free for children 5 and under.

In the spirit of the season, Monteverdi Chorale is partnering with Operation Bootstrap to host a donation drive at the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support the Stevens Point-based organization, which provides transportation, rent assistance, clothing, medical aid, utility support, and food pantry services to individuals in need.
