Mayor Mike Wiza stopped by Pacelli High School on Wednesday to catch an early glimpse of the upcoming “Jungle Book” production by students at Pacelli Catholic Middle School.

Based on Rudyard Kipling’s 1894 book of the same name, the story was popularized by a 1967 animated musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions. The story centers around Mowgli, a feral boy raised in the wild whose jungle-animal friends try to convince him to return to humanity.

The show stars Nick Grywacz as Mowgli and Anna Auer as Baloo.

Showtimes are Dec. 6 and 7 at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Dec. 8 at Pacelli High School, 1301 Maria Dr.

Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12.
