Mission Coffee to bring Northwoods-themed “12 Days of Christmas” to Plover

PLOVER — Mission Coffee House, 1804 Plover Rd. in Plover, is inviting the community to get into the holiday spirit with its upcoming “12 Days of Christmas” event.

Owner Russ Ehlinger is bringing his long-time vision to life by creating a Wisconsin Northwoods-themed Christmas experience from Dec. 9 through Dec. 21.

The event will transform Mission Coffee, located inside Artist & Fare, into a festive hub, offering families the chance to meet Santa, enjoy holiday treats, and capture the moment with free photos—all at no cost.

“We want Christmas to be here, in our own community,” said Ehlinger. “We should have a place where families can come together and celebrate without needing to travel far.”

Free photos with Santa will be available, courtesy of Keegan D. Ziemer at Edward Jones. The experience also includes Christmas-themed décor, with a collaboration involving several local businesses. Eight businesses have already committed to sponsoring a day of the event, with sponsorships still open for four of the 12 days. Each sponsor provides a day filled with holiday fun and community engagement. “Everything is free—cookies, candy canes, hot cocoa, coffee—all thanks to our sponsors,” said Ehlinger.

Ehlinger so far has required nine area businesses to sponsor each day of the event. Three open sponsorships remain available.

Families can also purchase a Christmas tree from Moccasin Creek Family Farm, LLC, near Vesper, which will be on site. The festivities, held Monday through Friday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m., also include two Saturdays on Dec. 14 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can enjoy music from the local barbershop choir, and more. “We’re making this a destination—a place to get your tree, meet Santa, and share the magic of Christmas without any cost,” said Ehlinger.

The event is about engaging the community and giving back, with Mission Coffee acting as the host for this collaborative initiative. “This is about community engagement and offering families an experience they’ll remember,” Ehlinger added.
