A two-vehicle crash ended with an SUV in a retention pond near the Steven Point Business Park on Tuesday.

Stevens Point police responded to the intersection of County Hwy. HH and Business Park Dr. at 8:24 AM after a caller reported an SUV had gone into the water near the busy intersection at Crossroads Commons.

According to Corp. Steve Spath, a motorist traveling west on County Hwy. HH ran a red light, striking the a Suburban traveling north.

“The collision caused the Suburban to veer off the road and into the pond,” Spath said.
