Mildred J. (Joyce) Boaz, 90

Mildred J. (Joyce) Boaz, 90, of Stevens Point, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 17, 2023, at Sylvan Crossing Memory Care.

Mildred was born June 5, 1932 in Normal, Ill. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Lavina (née Rinkenberger) Tool.

Her marriage to James “Del” Boaz took place on May 19, 1961, in Marseilles, Ill. The couple settled in Illinois until 1972 when they moved to Stevens Point. Her husband Del preceded her in death on March 6, 2005.

In her free time, Mildred enjoyed flower gardening and crafts, cooking and hosting family get-togethers, but her most precious time was spent playing cards and games with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Croix Hospice would be appreciated.

Survivors include her daughter; Beverly (Terry) Page of Stevens Point, her eight grandchildren; Jim, Dion, Chad, Todd, Dawn, Rachel, Autumn and Mandy, Eleven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren with a great great grandson on the way. Further survived by two sisters; Reta Sanders and June Downen Freed. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Del, two sons Stanley and Alan, a great-great-granddaughter Makela, and one sister, Bonnie Downen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 24, 2023, at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Pastor Bill Christiansen officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Cemetery.
