Migas, Carrie L. (Somers), 56

On Friday, December 14, 2018, Carrie Migas, wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away from complications of Pancreatic cancer after a yearlong battle.

Carrie will be forever remembered by her husband John, and their three children, Drew, Meghan (Sam), and Colton, one grandchild, Cayson, her parents Joseph and Audrey Somers, and by her brothers and sisters Michael (Lynda), Michelle (Pete), Pamela, Lisa (Mike), and Paul. Carrie will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

A native of Stevens Point, she lived in Colorado Springs, Colo. for the last 24 years. She also lived in San Antonio, Texas, Pensacola, Fla., Virginia Beach, VA, and Jacksonville, Fla. while her husband was in the Navy.

Carrie was an avid reader, loved watching a binge-worthy TV series, enjoyed movies, skiing and loved shopping. She combined a professional career in law and as an executive assistant with her most proud title, Mom. Carrie was an ardent advocate working with federal, state, county and city representatives addressing needs and identifying resources best suited for her son, Colton’s personal development.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Todd Mlsna will officiate. Burial will take place in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday morning in the St. Faustina Room at St. Peter Church.

At a date to be determined, a Celebration of Life memorial will be held in Colorado Springs.
