Mid-State Foundation trapshoot fundraiser raises over $6,000 for emergency grants

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Mid-State Technical College Foundation raised more than $6,000 for student emergency grants during its ninth annual Trapshoot Fundraiser on Sept. 20 at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association in Nekoosa.
The event, which drew 70 participants across 14 teams and two individuals, offered friendly competition while raising funds for students facing financial hardships. Cash prizes were awarded to the top-performing teams and individual shooters.
Team Krause secured first place, with Solarus – A taking second. Alex Lendved was named top female shooter, Jon Lendved took the top male shooter honor, and Carson Bender was recognized as the top youth shooter.
“Each year, the Trapshoot Fundraiser brings the community together to help support our students,” said Nikki Dhein, donor relations manager for the Mid-State Foundation. “We are thankful for the generosity of the participants and volunteers that made this event a huge success, and we’re excited to host the tenth Trapshoot Fundraiser next fall.”
