Memory Café donates to Family Crisis Center

Participants in a local memory café have made a donation to the Family Crisis Center.

The members collected about 40 school supply items for the center on Nov. 13.

The Aging & Disability Resource Center Memory Café meets regularly each month. Meetings are designed for individuals experiencing early-stage dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment. The meetings give participants regular, enjoyable social interactions with others in similar circumstances in a safe, welcoming environment. Participants are accompanied by care partners, family or friends.

The Family Crisis Center is a CAP Services program that provides assistance to victims of domestic violence. Services include shelter, a 24-hour-a-day toll-free crisis line, walk-in counseling, accompaniment for medical care and legal proceedings, referrals, and support groups. All services are free of charge and confidential.
