Matthew M. Heilman, 37
Matthew M. Heilman, 37, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, due to complications after surgery.
He was born on November 25, 1980, in Green Bay to Beverly Heilman and Dan Heilman.
Matt graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School in 1999 and then from St. Norbert College in De Pere. For the last 10 years he has worked for the Stevens Point Area School District as a social studies teacher and coached SPASH football, which he loved very much.
Matt enjoyed football, baseball, basketball, golf, and WWE wrestling; with the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers being his favorite pro sports teams.
He will be sadly missed by his favorite bud, his dog, Dozer; along with his mother, Beverly Heilman, Green Bay; his father, Dan Heilman (special friend, Cindy), Manitowoc; brother, Ben Heilman; aunts and uncles, Kathy Gillette, Howard (Cindy) Carviou, Ed (Sue) Bonack, Dave (Barb) Heilman, Dale (Stephanie) Heilman; Matt’s close friends, Matt Fezatte (Keri), Josh Seehafer, Damon Wrona (Melanie), and Jason (Christian) Nolan.; as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends at SPASH.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loretta “Nana” and Henry Carviou, Lois Heilman, LaMont “Bud” and Ida Heilman; aunt, Phyllis Bonack; uncle, Duane Heilman; and aunt Dawn Heilman.
