Marvin Slagowski, 88
Marvin Slagowski, age 88, of Town of Sharon passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Pride TLC Living in Weston.
Funeral Services for Marvin will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. Rev. Mark Miller will officiate. Friends and family may gather to share memories from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Polonia.
Marvin was born on April 1, 1933, to Anthony and Sophia (Kitkowski) Slagowski in Milwaukee, Wis. He moved with his family to the Slagowski family farm at the age of 12. After he finished school he worked on the farm. After working on the farm, Marvin worked in construction before finally working for the Joerns Company until retirement.
Marvin enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved reading, watching the Packers, and listening to and playing polka music on the piano, accordion, and button box.
He is survived by his sister: Shirley Filtz, Rosholt; and her family: Duane (Marie) Filtz, Brookfield; Carrie (Duane) McDonald, Neenah; Darrell (Sharla) Filtz, Cedarburg; Amy (Robert) Larsen, Cumming, GA; and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Donald Filtz.
