Major Project Grant cycle opens May 15 in Portage, Waushara counties

STEVENS POINT — The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin will begin accepting applications for its annual Major Project Grant starting May 15.

The grant cycle runs through June 15, with the selected grantee to be notified in September.

Each year, the Community Foundation awards up to $50,000 for one significant project in the region. The Major Project Grant is designed to support initiatives that bring community members together to pursue a shared goal and create a lasting impact in Portage and Waushara counties.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, as well as public, charter, and parochial schools, government entities, and established community groups working to benefit the general public.
