Louise M. Sager, 87
Louise M. Sager, age 87, formerly of the Town of Stockton, passed away Wednesday morning November 3, 2021, at Whispering Pines in Plover, with her loving family at her side.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Louise will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be beside her husband Jerry at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:30-10:45 a.m. before the Mass on Tuesday at St. Joseph Parish, 1709 Wyatt Ave. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family.
Louise was born September 9, 1934, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Edwin and Ida (Zagrzebski) Walczak. She graduated from Maria High School in 1953. She worked as a telephone operator. Louise married Jerry Sager on September 10, 1955, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The couple settled in Stevens Point and raised their family.
Louise worked as a ward secretary at St. Michael’s Hospital and later at River Pines Nursing Home until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling with Jerry, spending winters in South Padre Island, and camping with her family and friends. Most of all Louise loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children: Jeffrey (Diana) Sager; Julie (John) Kamla; John Sager (Cindy Kiesling); Jill (Perry) Keyser. Eight grandchildren: Carly (Ryan) Sager-Dallman, Carrie (Ryan) Kastanek, Matthew (Ashley) Kamla, Jonathon (Hayley) Sager, Taylor (Adam) Bartlett, Sierra Sager, (Zach Parnham), Autumn Keyser. Five great-grandchildren and her brother Elmer Walczak. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry in 2006, and five sisters: Margaret Moss, Elaine, and Aurelia Walczak, Ramona Waldherr, and Edwina Grote.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Whispering Pines, especially Kirstin, and Compassion Care Hospice for giving comfort in her time of need.
