Lorraine L. Kramar, 100

Lorraine L. Kramar age 100 of Stevens Point, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Atrium Senior Living.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz will officiate. Friends and family may gather to share memories from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.

Burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family. Donations to Heartland Hospice and Portage County Humane Society for a memorial in lieu of flowers will be established in Lorraine’s name.

Lorraine was born June 28, 1918, in Antigo, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Cheslak) Simons. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1936. Lorraine was married on April 22, 1939, at St Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo, to Eugene Kramar.

The couple moved to Stevens Point in 1950.

After raising their six children, she and Eugene fostered 33 babies, even a set of twins. She was an excellent baker and made her own pie crusts up to the age of 99. She loved to share her baked goods with anyone she could.

Lorraine was a devout Catholic and volunteered at the Lincoln Center in the dining room for many years.
She is survived by her Son Jerry (Nancy) Kramar, Boulder Junction, Daughters; Jeanne (Red) Marshall, Stevens Point, Karen (Jim) Conklyn, Stevens Point.

She had 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene in 1994, sons, Bob, Dick and Tom, one daughter-in-law, Merle, three brothers, and two grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her care workers from Inclusa, Heartland Hospice and Atrium for their loving care.
