Lorraine C. Karch, 90

On August 31, 2022, God’s angel on earth, Lorraine C. Karch, 90, was called to heaven to be reunited with her loving husband Robert, daughter Marilyn, son Russell, parents Frank and Hellen, and the many others whose lives she touched by her compassionate and caring way.

As we now mourn, those in Heaven rejoice in her presence.

Lorraine was born on August 7, 1932, in Stevens Point Wisconsin to Frank and Helen Blaskey. Lorraine graduated from Stevens Point High School in 1950.

She married the late Robert Karch on January 13, 1951, and embarked on a 63-year journey together. Births along the way included sons Jerry, Alan, Dale, Russ, and daughter Marilyn. Stops along the way included homes in Milwaukee, Delafield, Stevens Point, and a final destination of Rosholt where they built a home along Highway 66 in 1987 on 19 acres.

Together they enjoyed fishing, gardening, feeding the wildlife, and visiting with family and friends. Lorraine was an excellent cook and baker. You never left her home empty-handed as she made sure that peanut butter cookies, bars, or breads made it home with you. She was a devout Catholic and lived every day of her life as an example of that faith. Her love and compassion touched so many, and the memories created will live on in the hearts of those she so loved.

Lorraine is survived by three sons: Jerry Karch, Alan (Christine) Karch, and Dale (Sandie) Karch; 10 grandchildren: Andrew (Erica) Karch, Rory Karch, Kevyn Karch, Matthew Karch, Johnathan (Jenn) Karch, Erica Karch, Amanda Karch, Patricia (Derick) Decker, Lori (David) Baral, and Aaron Pohl, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Mark Miller will officiate.

Burial will be at the parish cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.
