Metro Wire Staff

The Central Wisconsin Sail & Power Squadron has “launched” a new lifejacket loaner station in Junction City.

The group was able to install the station via a grant from the Sea Tow Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that provides lifejackets. The group installed the station on April 27 at the boat launch at 4501 County Rd. E in Junction City.

The installation is located at Lake DuBay Park Campground, 4501 County Road E, Junction City.

The station has eight loaner life jackets.

Certified Vessel Examiners from Central Wisconsin Sail & Power Squadron will be at the boat landing on Saturday, July 9, offering courtesy boat safety equipment checks.
