STEVENS POINT — Local business leaders and city officials gathered on Dec. 6 to celebrate the grand opening of Lily & Vine Floral and Gifts in downtown Stevens Point.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by the Portage County Business Council and its ambassadors, including Sarah Agena, who welcomed owner Suzanne Bostwick and her team to the downtown community.

“This is such an amazing location, and it smells so wonderful,” Agena said during the event, emphasizing the council’s support for small businesses in the area.

Bostwick, who purchased Bev’s Floral on Division St. in May, shared her vision for Lily & Vine, which offers floral arrangements for all occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, and funerals.

“Being a part of the downtown community is really important to me,” Bostwick said. “I think it’s a win-win for my business and for the community.”

Bostwick employs about half a dozen people and credited her team and family for their support in establishing the business.

Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza congratulated Bostwick on her new venture. “Having something like this downtown is a great addition,” Wiza said, noting that Lily & Vine is part of a network allowing customers to send flowers internationally.

The Portage County Business Council’s ambassadors presented a certificate of appreciation to Lily & Vine, recognizing its contribution to the area’s growth and prosperity.

Lily & Vine Floral and Gifts is now open at 1036 Main St., the former location of Pallets & Planks.
