Libraries to host ‘gingerbread house’ events

Metro Wire Staff

Several locations of the Portage Co. Library will be holding a special gingerbread house party for youngsters and their families this month.

Children ages 2 through 12 will craft their own “gingerbread house” using graham crackers and other edibles. Supplies will be provided by the library but space is limited, so registration is required.

The Almond library will host the program on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and can be reached at 715-366-2151. The Rosholt library, 715-677-4512, will hold the event at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The event will be held at the Plover library on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 4:30 p.m., and again on Friday, Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. The Plover library can be reached at 715-341-4007.

Registration opens on Dec. 3.

The Portage County Public Library has branches in Stevens Point, Plover, Rosholt, and Almond. For a complete calendar of events, visit www.pocolibrary.org.
