Letter: Vote for Lukas in August primary
To the Editor-
I don’t really know Sheriff candidate Florian Chojnacki, Jr., but I do know our current Sheriff Mike Lukas. In fact, I have known him for the last 28 years he has been in the Portage County Sheriff’s Department, for the last eight years as the Sheriff of Portage County.
During his time as sheriff, he has created and cultivated working relationships across central Wisconsin with other sheriff’s departments and police agencies.
Closer to home, he maintains a transparent and open relationship with the citizens of Portage County, always with the mindset that the citizens are who he and his department work for.
I know Mike, more importantly, I know what he has done and what he can do in the future for our county.
Please join me in voting for Mike Lukas for Sheriff on August 9.
