Letter: Resident believes some city council members ‘inept’

To the Editor-

Even though I live in Park Ridge and not Stevens Point, I am concerned that, unfortunately, one day we may be annexed to the city of Stevens Point.

At this time, I feel the city council members are quite inept at the job that they are supposed to be doing. If they can’t come prepared to a meeting, especially for minor issues, then they need to dismiss themselves from the council completely, particularly if they are receiving a stipend.

It’s really disturbing to think these are the same people who are making major decisions for the taxpayers of the city of Stevens Point.

I have to say to the council, “Shame on you.” Do your job and do it like the taxpayers expect you to do it, or hang up your hat.

It just may be time for you to find something less taxing on your brain to do.
