Letter: Remember educators during National Teachers Week

To the Editor-

Think back to your favorite teachers; a smile just came to your face, didn’t it? What made them magical? How did they bring out the best in you? How can you support them today?

Educators, please know, we applaud, support and honor you not only during National Teachers’ Week (May 8-12) but every day and we encourage our communities to do the same.

Highly dedicated and superbly educated professionals devote countless hours to their students. They expend incredible amounts of energy and dig deep for innovative ways to connect with each and every one of their students.

Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers’ Association members may no longer be in the classroom but we remember how we gave a part of our hearts every day, just like current teachers do. We thank you.
