Letter: Piotrowski best choice for state senate

To the Editor-

On November 3rd, vote Paul Piotrowski for State Senate.

Paul’s campaign is a breath of fresh air. He’s a humble, down to earth man who understands what public service means. He served his country and community. As a Navy veteran, police officer, and Stevens Point City Clerk. As a veteran myself, I know the value of military service. It builds character and teaches you responsibility. These are important qualities that Paul possesses and are sorely needed in our elected representatives. Every veteran is a hero; not a loser or a sucker.

Send Paul to Madison if you want to get the most for your tax dollars. His opponent, chair of the Health and Human Services Committee, has failed miserably. Not one hearing has been held to deal with this lethal COVID-19 pandemic. This is dereliction of duty.

Paul on the other hand understands the awesome responsibility of representing the district. It means tackling the tough issues head-on. He would never shrink from the leadership position entrusted to him. He learned the value of hard work and is ready, willing, and able to face the challenges no matter how daunting they may be and he’ll do it in a respectful manner.

Paul has got my vote. He deserves your vote too. Together let’s send him to Madison where he will work full-time on our behalf. He’ll stand up for regular Joe’s like you and me. That’s the kind of representation we need now more than ever.
