Letter: Miresse will be an advocate for Central Wisconsin
To the Editor-
Please consider supporting Vinnie Miresse for the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Vinnie will support our public schools and those who serve it. In the recent past, the financial support for public schools by our state legislators has waned as more taxpayer dollars have been allocated to private schools.
Vinnie will be a representative who is an advocate for our public schools. Vinnie understands the importance of funding public schools appropriately and will work to ensure the separation of church and state relative to such funding.
Vinnie, as most Americans, believes in the right of women to make decisions relative to their health and well-being. Vinnie understands the danger to women, and to society, when government takes action to limit such rights.
Vinnie will be a voice of support relative to protecting our natural resources, which are so important to our quality of life in Wisconsin. Vinnie will weigh decisions relative to growth and commerce to the impact such decisions will have upon water quality, plant and animal life, air quality, and the lakes and lands available for use by all Wisconsinites.
Vinnie will be a strong supporter of the workers of Wisconsin. Vinnie supports strong unions, laws to protect workers, and fair pay for all employees. Vinnie understands the importance of industry and commerce but also believes that the people who provide the work and services should be compensated relative to the profits enjoyed by the employers.
Vinnie is a hard worker who will fight hard for the best interests of the constituents he serves. I have seen him grow as a public servant and leader as a member of the Portage County Board. I believe he has the skillset, experience, and personal assets to serve us as our Assembly Representative in Madison.
