Letter: Chris Scott brings ‘experience, integrity’ to school board

To the Editor-

I am writing this endorsement for Chris Scott for our school board, as both a former school board member who has served with her (twice), and a casual friend.

Brevity is welcomed by most folks; here goes. The current board is a better functioning organization with her knowledge of district history and how the district has evolved over the years, and her willingness and ability to work in a professional, collaborative manner with her fellow board members and district administration.

She understands very well who are the real customers of the school district — they are the students, the parents, the teachers and staff, and the community and taxpayers. And I believe she is open to listening to new people, new ideas, and new solutions and opportunities that might be presented to the board and district.

I encourage everyone to become as informed on the candidates as possible and then VOTE on Tuesday, April 4.
