Letter: Bushman has what it takes to serve school district

To the Editor,

I am writing to endorse Jennifer Bushman for Stevens Point Area School Board.

As a mother of three young children with a demanding career, I find it refreshing and encouraging to see Jennifer rise to the occasion considering the sacrifice this has required and will continue to require, on Jennifer’s part.

Jennifer is also a mother of three young children in the district, a devoted community volunteer, and a highly respected and accomplished leader in her professional arena. She has a vested interest in ensuring our district is thriving; her youngest will be enrolled for 10 more years in the district.

Those who know Jennifer know that she leads with passion and heart and is an extremely hard worker. She has deep expertise in learning and leadership development, human resources, and her financial experience managing large budgets in the private sector will greatly benefit the school board. She is articulate, approachable, intelligent, and an impressive well-rounded school board candidate.

Jennifer is a strong advocate and leader in the community. She has demonstrated proven leadership in the Stevens Point Junior Woman’s Club and continues to serve in this organization. I have served alongside Jennifer in the Junior Woman’s Club and have witnessed her leadership abilities firsthand. She has led this group in many capacities over the past seven years, including serving as president for three years.

Throughout her campaign, I have watched Jennifer positively share her platform and qualifications. I admire her ability to respond to hate with grace. She has an innate ability to bridge; she is always one to seek common ground. I have never seen such hard work, creativity, and dedication related to a school board campaign.

On April 5, I will proudly cast my vote for Jennifer Bushman for Stevens Point Area School Board; I encourage everyone to do the same.
