Letter: Backyard chickens are a great defense against ticks

To the Editor-

I have one word for the people who are worried about backyard chickens: TICKS.

There are many physicians who suspect everyone in the area has some form of Lyme disease. Chickens are a great defense. I know when we do not have a chicken around, the ticks run amuck.

An organic cure for a very real problem.
