Letter: A last-minute plea to voters

To the Editor-

We need results-driven leadership—not another career politician willing to lie his way to the top.

Vinnie Miresse’s campaign has been littered with misleading attacks against Bob Pahmeier, hoping to distract voters from his own record of ineffective leadership.

Why is Miresse resorting to these shameful tactics? Expensive and hateful radio ads, mailers, and commercials. He can’t answer for his track record of failures on multiple county board committees and questionable misuse of taxpayer land for personal gain. The Diversity Committe failed. The Portage County Healthcare Center Committee failed. Miresse’s weakness as a leader shows that he’s not focused on our community’s best interests.

Bob Pahmeier is the kind of collaborative leader we can trust. A veteran and public servant for nearly 30 years. Pahmeier is working to eliminate taxes on fixed-income retirees’ retirement income. Miresse doesn’t even address the needs of seniors.

I’m voting for Bob Pahmeier for State Assembly, and I urge my fellow District 71 residents to do the same for real, accountable leadership.
