Law enforcement arrest several on open warrants

July 5

Vandalism: Deputies were called to the 5700 block of Akron Ave. in Plainfield at 2:36 p.m. after a 68-year-old man reported vandalism to his vehicle. No further information was released.

Warrant Arrest: Police arrested a 24-year-old man with an open warrant from the intersection of Blaine and Lloyd streets at 1:12 a.m.

Fire: Deputies and firefighters responded to a fire on the 11000 block of Durant Rd. at 5:26 p.m. in Waupaca when a 76-year-old woman reported smoke in the home. Damage was limited to a multi-outlet plug on the wall.

Busted: A 29-year-old woman was arrested near Division St. and College Ave. at 1:54 a.m. on charges of operating after revocation, speeding, and operating without proof of insurance.

Crash: A 51-year-old man was cited following a two-vehicle crash at 8:58 p.m. near County Trunk HH and I-39.

Warrant Arrest: Police arrested a 23-year-old man on an open warrant near Main and Second streets at 1:58 a.m.

Homeless: Police discovered two males, 43 and 16, sleeping on the 1000 block of Main St. The older man told police they were homeless and spending the night in the area. Police referred the two for assistance from the Hope Center.

Noisey Neighbor: A 68-year-old man called deputies at 10:01 p.m. to complain about loud music from his neighbor’s home on the 10000 block of County Trunk V in Amherst. When deputies arrived, they reported the music was “not excessively loud” and spoke with the homeowner. The 51-year-old man told deputies he paid $700 for the band and would shut down the party at midnight. He reportedly held the event annually, and invites the neighbor each year to no avail: the neighbor called police each year, he said.

OWI: A 45-year-old woman was taken into custody for her first OWI offense near Water St. and Arlington Pl. at 2:03 a.m. The woman was also cited for operating left of center.

Suspicious: A caller reported two white men in dark clothes sitting by the front door of ACME Auto at 3:55 a.m. No further details were released.

Battery: Police arrested a 59-year-old man on charges of strangulation/suffocation and battery following a domestic disturbance on the 1400 block of Water St. at 3:16 p.m.

Warrant Arrest: During a routine traffic stop near Strongs Ave. and Park St., police discovered a woman wanted on an open warrant at 9:08 p.m. The woman, 44, was arrested.

Assault: Police took a report of an assault from the 4000 block of Main St. at 10:03 p.m. No further details were released.

Strangler: A 37-year-old man was arrested on charges of strangulation/suffocation and battery following a domestic disturbance on the 2600 block of Indiana Ave. at 11:35 p.m.

Warrant Arrest: A 33-year-old woman was arrested on an active warrant near Main and Second streets at 1:59 a.m.

Assault: Deputies responded to an assault on the 50 block of Maplewood Dr. in Park Ridge at 1:49 p.m. No further details were released.

OWI: Police arrested a 30-year-old man on his third OWI offense on the 100 block of Bukolt Ave. at 3:37 a.m.

Stalker: A 58-year-old woman called police at 12:05 p.m. to report a 53-year-old man was “slowly” driving by her home on the 200 block of Union St. The man was under a court order to stay at least 500 feet away from the woman, and was arrested for a probation violation.

Domestic: Police arrested a 37-year-old woman on charges of disorderly conduct and domestic abuse following an incident on the 2700 block of Welsby Ave. at 4:12 p.m.

Warrant: Police arrested a 29-year-old man with an active warrant on the 1100 block of Crosby Ave. at 11:24 a.m.

July 7

Passed Out: Deputies were called to the corner of Sunset Dr. and Maple Dr. West in Park Ridge at 4:40 a.m. after a caller reported a man, 34, was passed out at the wheel. No further information was released.

Shooters: A 64-year-old man called deputies at 7:09 p.m. to report a family on the 8500 block of 16th Rd. in Almond were shooting guns without a proper backstop.

OWI: A 19-year-old woman was arrested for her first OWI offense near Second St. and Fourth Ave. at 2:31 a.m. The woman was also cited for underage drinking.

Passed Out: A 33-year-old woman called police at 5:22 a.m. to report a man was passed out in the front yard of an apartment complex on the 800 block of Whiting Ave. No further details were immediately released.

Assault: An assault was reported on the 3500 block of Bush St. at 4:23 p.m. No further details were immediately available.

Warrant: A 29-year-old woman was arrested on an open warrant from the 1000 block of Fifth Ave. at 10:14 p.m. Police were called to the residence after a caller reported the woman was involved in a disturbance with a 28-year-old man in the home.
