Lass brings in six RBIs to help SPASH softball secure regional title

Kayla Lass had an impressive game on Thursday to help SPASH defeat Wausau West.

Lady Panthers won 13-6 by going 2-for-3 with a home run and double driving in six RBIs in a WIAA regional final game.

SPASH scored twelve runs in the third through fifth innings with the game being tied going into the fourth inning. The Panthers took control and had a big sixth inning with six runs followed by a four-run fifth inning to secure the win.

The Panthers tallied fifteen hits in the game with Sam Saloun and Berkely Lake contributing three hits each. Saloun went 3-for-4 and Lake 3-for-3.

Jaden Jones was the starting pitcher going three innings with three runs on four hits and three strikeouts. Zoey Fink pitched in relief for four innings with three runs on six hits and two strikeouts.

SPASH will host Wisconsin Rapids for the sectional semifinal game at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
